Considering the socio-economic context of Bangladesh, the importance of technical and vocational education is easily understandable. Above all, it is impossible to convert more manpower into human resources than technical education. Economically prosperous means self-reliant economy, which means development of science, education, health, and other internal issues with appropriate scientific, modern technology, its continuity and the medium is technical education. There is no alternative to technical education to develop itself efficiently in competition with the developed world and to make the country economically prosperous.

Therefore, work should be done in the improvement of technical education. If they can transform the population into skilled manpower, they will be the main driving force of the country's development. There is no alternative to technical and vocational education to create skilled manpower.
The role of technical and vocational education is to play an important role in poverty alleviation, employment opportunities, self-employment, entrepreneur development and productivity. With that aim, the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh established the Barguna Polytechnic Institute on the banks of Khagadon river in the city of Barguna in the year 2006. Presently, this institute is being operated under the Technical Education Department of Technical and Madrasa Education Department.
The academic program works under the control of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. At present, the Barguna Polytechnic Institute is running 5 (computer, electronics, refrigeration and airconditioning, environmental and civil) teaching activities. Barguna Polytechnic has been adapted to the students from different regions of the country.
The relatively new name of this district has been highlighted by the people of the country. Students' new technologies and innovations have created curiosity, enthusiasm and enthusiasm between Abal-old-Binita.
