Apple Removed about 30,000 apps from the Chinese App Store: This time thousands of applications have been removed from the App Store (Chinese version) of tech company Apple. According to sources, about 29,800 apps have been removed due to a lack of licenses. Most of these apps are video gaming applications. It is learned that those applications did not comply with the Chinese mobile gaming law introduced in 2016, so they were removed immediately.
In this context, under the Gaming Act, developers must obtain a license from one of the censorship agencies or from the China General Administration of Press and Publications. For this, the developers have to burn a lot of wood and straw and it also takes a lot of time. The Chinese government has a number of restrictions and rules on app development that delay the approval and development process of apps.
In addition, any video game developer must have the necessary approvals to keep their application as an 'in-app purchase'. As I said before, it takes a long time to get a license and the matter is quite troublesome. That's why more than 26,000 app companies developed their own applications without complying with gaming laws.
In this regard, the marketing manager of App in China said, this incident will have a significant impact on the income of small and medium developers. This is a devastating step for China's iOS game industry.
