Apple Removed about 30,000 apps from the Chinese App Store |
In this context, under the Gaming Act, developers must obtain a license from one of the censorship agencies or from the China General Administration of Press and Publications. For this, the developers have to burn a lot of wood and straw and it also takes a lot of time. The Chinese government has a number of restrictions and rules on app development that delay the approval and development process of apps.
In addition, any video game developer must have the necessary approvals to keep their application as an 'in-app purchase'. As I said before, it takes a long time to get a license and the matter is quite troublesome. That's why more than 26,000 app companies developed their own applications without complying with gaming laws.
In this regard, the marketing manager of App in China said, this incident will have a significant impact on the income of small and medium developers. This is a devastating step for China's iOS game industry.
Apple, at first, had some limitations on those developers. But the companies could not get licenses by June. As a result, so many apps have been dropped from the Chinese App Store. Earlier this month, more than 2,500 game apps were similarly removed from Apple's Chinese App Store.
