At the moment almost the whole world is trying to maintain distance with China. Recently China played another push! Internet giant Google has deleted about 2,500 China-related YouTube channels.

According to the report, 2,500 YouTube channels related to China have been blown up. According to popular Google, these channels spread misleading information, so they have been removed from YouTube. These YouTube channels were reportedly removed between last April and June.


The same has been said on behalf of YouTube. They said that apolitical or spammy content was posted from those channels, but there were also some misleading posts related to politics.

Meanwhile, the list of 2,500 channels deleted by Google has not been released. The agency said links to some of the videos on those channels were seen on Twitter. Social media analytics firm Graphica identified them in a disinformation campaign last April. After which the channels are deleted.


In recent times, platforms such as Google and Facebook have taken drastic measures to prevent the spread of fake news online. That's why companies are coming up with new updates every day. Popular messaging platform WhatsApp also recently introduced the 'Search the Web' feature to prevent fake news.
