To take advantage of this new feature, all you have to do is say, "Hey Google, send an audio message to…." Or just say "Hey Google, send an audio message to" and Google Assistant will ask you which contact you want to send the audio message to and what message you want to record. Needless to say, the whole process of sending this audio message is hands-free
If you haven't enabled the 'Hey Google' voice command, you just need to manually launch Google Assistant to send audio notes to a contact.
Google Voice Assistant's product manager wrote in a blog post, "Voice messaging is a modern-day walkie-talkie. This is the easiest way to send a message to family and friends quickly. From now on, you will be able to send audio messages on your Android smartphone through Google Assistant - without holding down the small mic icon. The feature will now be available in all English-speaking countries around the world.
In WhatsApp, if you want to send a voice message to someone, you have to open the app, scroll down, select the contact and hold down the mic button, then send an audio note. Since this process in Google Voice Assistant is entirely voice-based, the feature is expected to be useful to WhatsApp users as well.
Google has highlighted a few more interesting features in its voice assistant. For example, Google Assistant can also read web articles. For that, you have to give a voice command, “Hey Google, read this page”
Quick selfies can also be taken with Google Assistant. You need to give the command, "Hey Google, take a selfie" The assistant will then capture the selfie after one or three countdowns after launching the front camera of the phone.
In addition, Google Assistant can also search for restaurants that offer delivery and takeout. Google Assistant also allows you to connect directly to your phone or share your favorite content with a friend.
