Microsoft will stop Supporting Internet Explorer In 2021

Microsoft will stop supporting Internet Explorer In 2021: Internet Explorer browser has been in service for more than two decades. The last version of Internet Explorer (IE-11) was released 7-8 years ago, but the browser has not received any updates since then. Meanwhile, with the advent of browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer is virtually shaking; Because, as a web technology is being updated, other browsers are becoming the reason for users' choice.

In this situation, Microsoft, the old partner of the Internet Explorer browser, is about to give up. Microsoft recently announced that next year, on August 16, 2021, the company will stop supporting Internet Explorer 11 in its 365 (Microsoft 365) app. However, not only Internet Explorer but also its Edge browser will be released on March 9 next year.

Turning off Microsoft support will either stop Internet Explorer from working, or users will experience a downgrade experience when using the Microsoft 365 app. This means that after August 16, 2021, Microsoft 365 users will not be able to access a number of features in Internet Explorer.

However, Internet Explorer 11 users do not have to worry so much. Because, Microsoft said in their blog post, users who have their own legacy of IE-11 applications and investments will be able to continue using it without hindrance. In fact, there are still many companies that rely on Internet Explorer for services. Thinking about them, Microsoft is not burying the last nail in the coffin of Internet Explorer right now.

We have already said that another service (Edge Browser) is on the verge of extinction.
Microsoft says it has given most Windows 10 customers a new upgrade to the Edge browser. Last year the company launched the Chromium-based Edge browser that has a legacy mode of Internet Explorer. However, this time the support of Internet Explorer 11 will also be stopped in the Microsoft Edge browser.
