YouTube Video Notifications will no longer be Available via Email |
YouTube said on their support page, 'If you subscribe to a channel and receive notifications of new uploads, live streams, etc. via email. Then this facility will be closed from 13th August 2020 '. However, as before, you will still receive notifications from the Youtube mobile app and on the desktop.
Notifications will be sent even if you have subscribed to a channel from Google Chrome. And if you've been taking advantage of this via email for a long time, follow the alternatives soon.
The reason given by Google for blocking email notifications is that only 0.1 percent of users come to watch videos after receiving notifications via email. He uses other methods more than that. As a result, there is no need to keep the email service.
Google is going to take this decision mainly because the subscribers did not respond much to the email notification. YouTube said on their support page, 'If you subscribe to a channel and receive notifications of new uploads, live streams, etc. via email. Then this facility will be closed from 13 August 2020.
