Xiaomi and Oppo May Use Exynos Processor in Mid Range Phone: South Korean smartphone company Samsung has been launching phones with its own Exynos processor for several years now. Vivo has also started using this processor since last year. This time, news came that two more Chinese smartphone companies may bring phones with this processor to the market. According to a report published in Business Korea, Xiaomi and Oppo will launch smartphones with Samsung's own Exynos processor from next year.

According to reports, Xiaomi or Oppo may use Exynos processors in their mid-range smartphones. Earlier, Vivo also used Exynos 960 processor in their X30 series. Although later in the Vivo X50 series Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is used again.

In fact, instead of Qualcomm or MediaTek, mobile manufacturers are turning to Exynos processors because of its relatively low cost. According to Business Korea, Samsung has recently put more emphasis on making its own processors. As a result, the company is being able to supply its processors to various companies at very attractive and cheap prices.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung is the fourth largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world with a market share of about 13 percent. Qualcomm and MediaTek, which are ranked first and second, have a market share of 29 percent and 26 percent, respectively. Huawei's HiSilicon processor, meanwhile, ranks third with 16 percent of the market. But this time around, with two popular smartphone makers like Xiaomi and Oppo showing interest in Exynos, it is expected that Samsung will soon overtake Huawei in terms of production and supply of processors.

Interestingly, a few days ago, Samsung itself used a Snapdragon processor instead of Exynos in its Galaxy S20 smartphone, which caused controversy in South Korea. But for now, Samsung's goal is to forget everything and look ahead. They are looking to increase the production and supply of the high-end Exynos 1080 processor at the moment and pose a tough challenge to its rivals Qualcomm and MediaTek next year.
